WEEKLY Worship:

Worship is at the heart of all we do @ St. Barnabas. We like to mix it up: we use both modern & traditional liturgies; we incorporate a variety of contemporary & classical musical styles & instruments; & we welcome people of all ages & backgrounds at all our services.

We gather to be both comforted & challenged; to pray & listen to God; & to feed the hungry & equip the faithful for service in the community.

Music is an important part of worship @ St. Barnabas. It is currently provided via the internet, and with the choir on special occasions. The Worship committee prepares anthems for special seasons during the church year. The Hand Bell choir enriches our worship with special selections once per month, during the 9:00 am service, & also joins in for special services throughout the year.

Sunday Worship service

St-Barnabas has returned to its two Sunday Worship formats holding a 8:30 am service (no music, no overheads),  sung Holy Communion, from the Book of Common Prayer/BCP (traditional-language service), and a 9:30 am. (ZOOM or in person) sung Holy Communion, from the Book of Alternative Services/BAS (modern-language service). We also regularly incorporate Bible readings done in French at this service. .  Coffee fellowship has resumed its activities. All are welcome for refreshments & fellowship, when announced.

ZOOM Link for Sunday Services and Bible Studies

Sunday school classes: The Sunday School meets in their own classes during the 9:30 am Services, (except in summer) and joins the adults for Holy Communion.

Join our Bible study, led by Mr. Ernest which takes place immediately after the Sunday 9:30 am worship service. You can join in person or on ZOOM by clicking  the same ZOOM link  used for the Sunday services

A Youth Bible Study also takes place on Sundays after the 9:30 am worship service. Although it is tailored more from an academic point of view since it is a familiar territory for them in school today, the main goal is to preach and teach Christ as the Way the Truth and the Life. This Bible Study is led by Habakkuk Stephen. Visit the Youths and young Adults page for more details.

Large print resources, & gluten-free communion wafers, are available on request.

Mid-week service: of Holy Communion, from the Book of Alternative Services/BAS, takes place every Wednesday, at 10:00 am., in the Lounge (except during July & Aug.). Brief, informal discussion sometimes also happens after the service!

Evening prayer service, on ZOOM only (Compline) also takes place Friday’s at 7:00pm, conducted by Rev. Deborah Galt. You can join using the same link used for the Sunday Services

St. Barnabas is wheelchair accessible.
