We are happy to share our facility with:

Meals on Wheels whose dedicated volunteers use our kitchen twice weekly.  Meals on Wheels is a volunteer-driven program that provides hot nutritious meals to home-bound or isolated seniors and to those with reduced autonomy. The Meals on Wheels program in the West Island began in a church kitchen in Lachine in 1969.

Family Resource Centre a community project that provides support and guidance for families in need. Their mission is to help families experiencing learning and / or behavior problems by offering individual and group support to the children and their parents.

St. Barnabas is an enthusiastic participant in the activities of the Christian Unity Fellowship Group: in annual ecumenical events during Advent, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (Jan.), & the Good Friday Ecumenical Walk.

Here are some of the other ways St. Barnabas reaches out to the community:

• Monthly collection of canned goods for the West Island Food Bank
• Christmas baskets provided for the local community (Dec.)
• Christmas cards & other events to benefit the Primate’s World Relief & Development Fund (PWRDF)
• Family Life Group— Family Breakfasts & Soup Luncheons to benefit both local & international organizations: e.g. the West Island Women’s Shelter, Suitcases for Africa, Operation Christmas Child.
