St. Barnabas is an enthusiastic participant in the activities of the Christian Unity Fellowship Group: in annual ecumenical events during Advent, the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (Jan.), & the Good Friday Ecumenical Walk.
Here are some of the other ways St. Barnabas reaches out to the community:
- Monthly collection of canned goods for the West Island Food Bank
- Christmas baskets provided for the local community (Dec.)
- Christmas cards & other events to benefit the Primate’s World Relief & Development Fund (PWRDF)
- Family Life Group— Family Breakfasts & Soup Luncheons to benefit both local & international organizations: e.g. the West Island Women’s Shelter, Suitcases for Africa, Operation Christmas Child.
