St. Barnabas Choir

We love to sing at St. Barnabas. In that we are ably assisted by the St. Barnabas Choir, a dedicated group who sing in harmony, with a goal of enriching our worship experience and  enhancing our connection to God. The choir prepares special anthems almost monthly throughout the year, with extra emphasis at Christmas, Easter, and St. Barnabas Day (June). We deliberately incorporate a wide variety of music in our Sunday services, including both traditional and contemporary selections, taking full advantage of both our organ and grand piano. But it doesn’t stop there: We are also blessed with the presence of a Hand Bell Choir, noted below.

Come Join Our Choir!

New choristers are always welcome! You don’t need to be a member of St. Barnabas to participate and experience the joy and well-being that comes from choral singing.

Singing in a group has been shown to:

  • Strengthen feelings of togetherness and social well-being.
  • Regulate heart rate.
  • Reduce stress levels and depression.
  • Improve symptoms of Parkinson’s and lung disease.
  • Increase life expectancy.

No auditions are necessary and the ability to read music is not required, but prior choral experience is welcome.
